The O'Brien International School and College Annual Scholarship Exams.

The O’Brien International School would like to offer one free scholarship: to a successful candidate of a two-year course of 4 A Levels at our school. The winning candidate will be given free tuition for the duration of the course. We intend to hold a two-day examination series to determine the winning candidate. The exams will be based on past papers from GCSE subjects. A minimum of grade 6 will be necessary in all four subjects assessed. The subjects to be examined are Mathematics (H), English Language, Spanish (H) and Geography. The candidate with the highest combined grades above the threshold will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, we will take exact marks and total them to create a final score to determine the winning candidate.

This opportunity is open to all students in the catchment area, not just students from our school.

For all those who participate in this offer from any school, and who do not reach the threshold we will offer a 150-euro reduction from the A Level registration fee for 2024-25.

If a candidate should score a 9 in Maths or English and another candidate is declared the winner of the Scholarship, we will offer that candidate one subject as a free A Level. This offer applies to all candidates and must be part of a package of 4 A Levels over two years. Each candidate should provide a letter of introduction, outlining why they merit such an award. Please contact the office to register your interest.

We are delighted to be able to announce that we have recently awarded our first A Level Scholarship. The successful candidate is, Taylor Hirst. Taylor has been awarded free tuition for the next two years, taking 4 A Levels. She would like to go on to study Sports Science at UCAM university.

Congratulations on attaining this award and we look forward to the next two years working with you and all our students. We will do all we can to help you gain your place at your chosen university.
