The O'Brien International School and College Annual Scholarship Exams.

The O’Brien International School would like to offer one free scholarship: to a successful candidate of a two-year course of 4 A Levels at our school. The winning candidate will be given free tuition for the duration of the course. We intend to hold a two-day examination series to determine the winning candidate. The exams will be based on past papers from GCSE subjects. A minimum of grade 6 will be necessary in all four subjects assessed. The subjects to be examined are Mathematics (H), English Language, Spanish (H) and Geography. The candidate with the highest combined grades above the threshold will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, we will take exact marks and total them to create a final score to determine the winning candidate.

This opportunity is open to all students in the catchment area, not just students from our school.

For all those who participate in this offer from any school, and who do not reach the threshold we will offer a 150-euro reduction from the A Level registration fee for 2024-25.

If a candidate should score a 9 in Maths or English and another candidate is declared the winner of the Scholarship, we will offer that candidate one subject as a free A Level. This offer applies to all candidates and must be part of a package of 4 A Levels over two years. Each candidate should provide a letter of introduction, outlining why they merit such an award. Please contact the office to register your interest.

We are delighted to be able to announce that we have recently awarded our first A Level Scholarship. The successful candidate is, Taylor Hirst. Taylor has been awarded free tuition for the next two years, taking 4 A Levels. She would like to go on to study Sports Science at UCAM university.

Congratulations on attaining this award and we look forward to the next two years working with you and all our students. We will do all we can to help you gain your place at your chosen university.

We would like now to invite local businesses or interested individuals who may be able to offer a Scholarship to another deserving student. For further information call to our Centre on 965076678 or 615466398, or an initial email to info@theobrienlanguagecentre.es will be your first step in what promises to be an exciting liaison between you and ourselves. Enya Warren, our 2nd winner of a two year scholarship 2024.

I would like to express my gratitude for being selected as the recipient of the O’Brien International School scholarship. Attending the O’Briens school for 3 years has opened my eyes to the joys of learning and finding your specialities. The scholarship also has a huge impact on my life both personally and academically. It has relieved any financial worries and in turn allowed me to focus more on my studies. It has also boosted my confidence in all aspects and has demonstrated to me that I can strive much higher than I believe if I put in the work and effort. This scholarship will present me with the chance to show responsibility and learn to make mature decisions, being one of the role models of the school. Furthermore, being able to dedicate all of my time into studying for my A Levels will prepare me for how much hard work will be put into giving myself a bright future in and after university.By being awarded the scholarship, it has shown me to never listen to my self-doubt and instead listen to the guidance from teachers. If I had listened to myself, I would have never believed I had the abilities and skills to be in this position. For that, I am grateful.
