Primary class 2023-24

I highly recommend The O'Brien International sSchool, our son loves it here.  It's small and friendly and all the teachers are amazing and very welcoming. We decided to send our son there after he struggled with the Spanish school system and it was the best decision, we made. No more dramas before school drop off, just a happy child

I can not thank The O'Brien International School enough, it's an amazing school. My son enjoys going to school, no tears in the morning any more. All the teachers are brilliant at what they do. John and Victoria do a great job running the school, and your always made to feel welcome. I hope O'Brien's grows bigger and stronger each year.

A Level 2023-25

Our son joined the school in April 2022. We had viewed all the international schools in the area and felt the O'Brien school was the best fit for us. We were not disappointed. The staff are very approachable and their levels of communication are excellent. Our son has gone from strength to strength, not only on an academic level,  but a vital social one too.

We feel the school looks after all aspects of the students needs. Many staff have gone above and beyond to ensure our sons wellbeing.  Sabrina, Derek, victoria, John and Lara are true examples of fantastic teachers.

It really feels like a community being apart of this school. You only have to see the children skip happily into school (including our 17 year old son)

It really made our sons education experience a positive one, which has put him on the path to success in life.

GCSE Class 2023-24

From the moment we sent our son Jack to this school, which was originally based in the centre of San Miguel de Salinas, he was made welcome into this lovely family run school. It was quite daunting for Jack as well as us, hoping he would settle in well and continue with his education in the same, brilliant way he had left behind in the UK. We needn’t have worried at all. immediately he began to flourish, supported by a great team of teachers and classmates. The personal touch that this school offers has been invaluable to us as a family and Jack continues to go from strength to strength in his education.

I was particularly impressed with how the school continued to provide full time lessons when the covid pandemic hit, just four short months into his staring school here. I was told by other parents whose children attend other schools in the area that their children were offered lessons via email, and basically left to their own devices. But Jack continued to have one to one, face to face lessons throughout this time via the internet, and communication with the school was outstanding! Jack was 10 years old when he started at this fabulous school. He is 14 now and continues to thoroughly enjoy his time with his teachers and friends.

I believe that communication is key. And I’ve never failed to be impressed by this school’s commitment to its students and parents. Victoria is amazing. She never fails to react to messages or phone calls and always goes out of her way to make everything run smoothly. John, our headmaster is friendly, cheerful, and always approachable, even out of school hours. I simply couldn’t ask for my son to attend a better school. I constantly recommend this school to friends, knowing full well that they will not be disappointed with their choice. This is a thoroughly excellent school, and I am so happy that we were lucky to have it recommended to us by several other happy parents and previous students.

We absolutely love this school, it is the only school our kids have felt comfortable and safe, where they let them be kids and individuals instead of trying to force them to suppress who they are to fit in.

As a result their education has surpassed anything they could have achieved in a different school.

Thank you! Bibi.

I wish to highly commend you on caring for my Grandson Dylan's education while being at your school. I have seen him flourish and grow in confidence over the past year or so and have seen him truly inspired by his teachers. He has discovered a love for subjects which he had not much liked before. You have helped him on all levels as he's growing into a fine young man looking forward to the next year of study.

The school is in a beautiful building and has a  warm atmosphere.  Many thanks to you all. I relax knowing his education is in fine hands.

Yours, Sara.

I just wanted to say I think the research work you ask the students to carry out is fantastic and demonstrates that your school really is focused on children being educated, not just a ‘run of the mill’, let’s pass exams. I ‘proof read’ Kaitlyns work last night, to help her out and I was fascinated by the content and actually learnt things myself, I found it thoroughly interesting and found myself questioning myself as well. See, you’re even helping to educate the parents!

GCSE/A Levels 2015-19

I moved my daughter to The O’Brien International School since she was failing in the Spanish Education System. With support of the fantastic teachers, she excelled and not only passed her GCSEs but her A levels as well. She is now in her final year of university  in London studying a BA Hons in Dance and it would not have been possible without the schools support and high standard of education

Thank you John O Brien and the rest of the staff at my school for getting me through my exams and putting on a great show tonight for the Christmas performance , I really did enjoy myself. It has been the best show yet and will be hard to top next year! Poppy🎄

My daughter studied Spanish at the O'Brien Centre and achieved an A* in her exam at the age of 12 just as I had done some time ago.  She was extremely happy with her result and intends to continue into AS Spanish.  I would like to thank Sabrina for her tireless efforts and support throughout the time that Libby attended the centre.  I would also like to thank John for providing her with an individual timetable which fitted in with her other commitments. Not only did she achieve an excellent academic grade but she also made friends who she is in contact with to this day.  A fantastic experience! Dean Smyth

Lisa Middlebrook.

Final summer exam completed for Esmé this morning, Saffy’s final one was last Monday. They’ve both worked extremely hard over the last 15 weeks whilst living the lockdown life, surreal circumstances but school has done an outstanding job in delivering the school timetable via Facebook live and creating Facebook rooms, this has meant our routine hasn’t changed that much apart from Paul having to share his workspace lol. I’d actually say the girls have worked far harder during these weeks than they would if they were actually sat in a classroom as there’s no distractions, some days Ez was still sat there an hour after her school day had finished. Dead proud of you girls and I sooooo know you’re ready for your summer break, bring on Tuesday when School’s out for summer...... think there’s a song that goes something like that 🤣🤣
